Blessed Christmas and New Year 2011.

A big 'Thank You' from the children of Kg Sonsogon Magandai.  So far, as KKABDA has created this blog and published the need to send the poor kids of Kg Sonsogon Magandai to school, we have received donations sufficient only to support 3 kids for their 1-month educational fund only.  But, together with the children we have great hope more funds will be coming to support this well worth cause.  What better Christmas gift to give to a child than by sending them to school, the education they will receive will perpetually transform their life and the village they come from.

Kampung Sonsongon Magandai kids' photo and age need help.

Let us all come together to help and send all these young children to school.

They are too young to be taken away from the parents to stay at a hostel in the town to attend kindergarten school.  The nearest primary school for the other kids are 3-hr walk away. This is the 21st century every kids ought to be educated.  This is the rationale why the kindergarten school is to be built on this one-acre land as shown below:

MISSION TRIP TO KG SONSONGON MAGANDAI BY MEMBERS OF KKABDA

Kampung Sonsongon Magandai is a remote village in the Kota Marudu District.  It is about 86KM from Kota Marudu town or 140KM from Kota Kinabalu.   The journey from Kota Marudu to the village will take about four hours by 4-wheel drive vehicle during dry season.

Besides, not having basic amenities such as electricity, phone lines or piped water, it also lacks proper medical facilities as well as in total isolations.

The Temporary kindergarten school

The main purpose of this mission trip besides sending the monthly food rations for the kindergarten school children and the teachers is to assess the gazetted land to build the new kindergarten school.  Temporary now, the classes are being conducted at the wooden Catholic Church chapel as shown on the right.

The mentioned mission trip was from 24th September to 25th September, 2010.
